The Felegyhaza Tumblers and other varieties of the dometicated pigeons, all are descendants form the wild or feral rock pigeon.

Name of this breed is the short form of Kiskunfelegyhaza, which is a town in the Hungarian lowlands.

The breed is also known by some other names in it's native area, such as Culbutant de Felegyhaza, Felegyhazaer Tümmler, Capitombolante in Felegyhaza.
